The reason that retinol is a popular ingredient in antiaging products is because it too promotes collagen. However, many people (myself included) get dry, irritated, and flaky with retinol use. Now that I have a product that promotes new collagen and elastin without the irritation, I am able to leave out the retinol in my nightly routine.
